English Dilemma

I am facing a problem in regards of the bidding of English module.
Although most of my seniors told me it's easy to get the modules you want through the bidding system. I found it untrue.
The bidding of English module was my first attempt since enrolling into NUS.
I thrown all my points for the module but still couldn't get it.
According to the statistics , there are 14 people fighting for 3 slot presented for us. Out of the 10 classes offered to the freshman , only 1 class were available for me to bid due to my hectic schedule.

In NUS, there are many rounds of bidding. The purposes of having different rounds is to protect the freshman from being outbid by seniors who have more points. Different modules are open in different rounds. This has to depend on the modules classification.

Despite having so many bidders for my class. There are no new classes open to us.

According to the bidding history, there were supposed to be 7 slot left in the class. However throughout the bidding period, the rest of slots were not available to us.

My friends and i went to the English department to enquire on this issue.
The admin staff indicated that THE CLASS IS FULL. I simply do not understand who filled the remaining slots. The best answer i can ever get from them was "PLEASE TRY NEXT SEMERSTER" .

I am speechless !
